Exclusive Books Launch Cancelled; Online Launch Proceeding

In a strange turn of events, Exclusive Books have advised us that due to further considerations, the planned book launch event for 14 October 2017 at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre has been cancelled. We have attempted to find out what these considerations consisted of, but are not receiving any further information.

Based on the discussions we’ve had with the branch earlier this week, we can only surmise that this has to do with the fact that Exclusive Books do not feel comfortable publishing an anthology of short stories by relatively unknown writers. Translated = Exclusive Books only supports projects that promises them profits for their commercial business, and their business has nothing to do with the writers themselves.

Fair enough. They are a business after all. I just wish they could have made this decision sooner rather than later and now disappointing everyone that was looking forward to the launch. Be that as it may, we are proceeding with the online launch on 14 October 2017 with our official distributors. We will also be pursuing other physical book launches with some of our other contacts in our network and will keep you informed.

Keep an eye out on the 14th for releases online all over the world!

Investment Opportunity – Guinness World Record Anthology

14 October 2017 is almost upon us! Our Guinness World Record Anthology attempt, CEA Greatest Anthology Written, will be launched at Exclusive Books, Canal Walk, at 11am. The shopping centre will be advertising the event in the days leading up to the launch.

This is now a great opportunity for investors that not only want to make their money grow within 1 day if we meet sales targets, but also to have their names or company listed on the actual advertisements themselves. The investment will go towards printing of the required number of books for the event, and the ROI will be made off the Volume’s selling price.

As this will be such a huge event, held at one of the province’s largest shopping centres within the popular Exclusive Books, and an attempt at a world record, we are sure the sales can be made, with already 120 preorders in hand.

Investors will have to contact us within 2-3 days with an offer to invest, as we will be printing the first load of books on Friday 6 October 2017. We can be emailed at shaunmjooste@celenicearth.com for further financial and event plan details.

Guinness World Record Anthology Official Cape Town Launch Event: 14 October 2017

After a successful meeting with our local Exclusive Books store at Canal Walk shopping centre, Cape Town, we can finally inform you that the official launch of our Guinness World Record Anthology, CEA Greatest Anthology Written, is set for 14 October 2017, 11am.

As the Exclusive Books chain operates as a franchise, we could not obtain an agreement for the Volume to launch throughout the country’s stores. However, we are currently investigating getting Western Cape branches involved to make the volume available throughout the City of Cape Town. I have been informed that potential buyers can ask other branches for the Volume, who will then request Celenic Earth Publications to provide them with stock if the demand is high enough.

The international launch will be also be on 14 October 2017 through our normal chain of distributors as indicated below:

Those who are able to make the launch event at Canal Walk and have pre-ordered will be able to collect their paperback copies at the event. It is to be noted that the copies that will be for sale at the event will cost more due to standard commercial markups costs, while we try and minimise the retail price as much as possible. You can still pre-order copies through our site as below.

We hope to see as many of you at the event as possible. Expect to see television, newspaper and radio announcements for the event and advertising in the shopping centre itself in the weeks leading up to the event.

Kind regards

Parow East Primary becomes a Proud sponsor of our Guinness World Record attempt

As we’ve said so many times before, we are heartily accepting organisational or corporate entities that want to sponsor the launch event that is happening on Saturday 30 September 2017. We’ve had a discussion with the principal of one of our local schools, Parow East Primary, who will be assisting us with spreading the word of the World record attempt to help us build a great crowd for the launch. This will go a long way in creating awareness, since even social media has its limits. You’d be amazed that more people overseas know about this event than locally.

As soon as Exclusive Books amps up the adverts for the launch, you will be sure that everyone in Cape Town and the greater South Africa will realise what is coming. For now, Parow East Primary will be sharing the news of the event with the parents in the school.

We are proud to have them as a sponsor of the event, and look forward to showcasing their school logo at the event. Thank you so much for your assistance!

As another reminder, today is the last day that any pre-orders will be listed as sponsors within the World Record anthology itself. You can click on the book image below to read more about our record attempt, or on the pre-order button to place your order now.

Our Guinness World Record attempt breaks news in the Sedalia Democrat news for South Massachusetts

Further to our recent news of interviews done in New Zealand on our World Record attempt, more news of our attempt is spreading around the world. The latest breaking news is in South Massachusetts, by a local newspaper called the Sedalia Democrat. They spoke to one of our writers, Madge Hanes Gressley, who gave them the details of our attempt and her story’s inclusion.

You can click on the image below to read the online version:

It is so great that our attempt at this record is achieving what we actually wanted in the first place: helping writers gain more experience and exposure and showing them that nothing is impossible. Even if we don’t manage to break the record, heaven forbid, we have still achieved our primary goal. Congratulations to Madge on this great interview and helping us obtain awareness.

Remember, if you want to be included in the anthology as an official sponsor, you need to pre-order the Anthology by 20 September 2017, the final date we can send the final document for distribution and printing.

News of the Guinness Anthology Hits New Zealand’s Southland Express and South Today

News of our Guinness World Record anthology is quickly spreading around the world as writers are getting interviewed by local newspapers. You may recall that our South African newspaper The Cape Argus had an article done on this in July, as well as the article hitting the top news for the week. We were also interviewed by local tv news station eNCA.

Two of our writers, namely Storm Reece and Mouse Diver-Dudfield, have both had exposure in New Zealand’s local newspaper, the Southland Express. We have included an image below of the print edition, and if you click on the image you will be taken to the article online.

Further to this, they were invited by The South Today news television station, Channel 39, to speak about the anthology and what it has meant to them. You can watch this broadcast below, and the anthology news is after about the 6th minute.

We want to thank our writers for their commitment towards breaking this record. Congratulations to these two writers for getting these great Interviews!

Remember, if you pre-order before 20 September 2017, you can have your name listed as an official record sponsor in the Anthology and the Launch event video credits.

Our Guinness World Record Anthology and Pre-Order Pages Are Live!!!

We have been working hard today to bring you the official pages to read more details on our CEA Greatest Anthology Written Anthology and for you to be able to pre-order. The Anthology page gives details on the Launch Event and the List of Writers with their countries and story titles. The Pre-Order page now not only allows you to pre-order through Payfast, but PayPal as well!! We’ve also indicated various currencies to make it easier to determine what type of sponsor you want to be.

Since these pages already have a wealth of information, we won’t be saying anything further here. Click on the Book image below to read more details on the Anthology, and on the Pre-order button to decide what type of Guinness World Record sponsor you want to be listed as.

Guinness World Record Anthology Update

We have been progressing well with our attempt at a world record anthology. With the current record set at 50 writers, we currently have 112 writers in our official Facebook group. 23 writers have submitted and been accepted into the anthology, and here are their names listed on the official Guinness database:

And here are the genres that you can expect from the anthology so far:

We also have a sponsor update. We’ve been receiving sponsors through our pre-order and donation system and in the last few days we’ve obtain so many pledges already. Thank you so much to those that have preorders and also donated to the event. Every pledge counts towards the 1000 copies we need to print and have sold.

We have another month to work on receiving orders and finalising our stories. We will keep you updated as time goes by. In the meantime, be sure to check out our Library for our other books available for sale.

CEA GAW Guinness Record Anthology Pre-orders and Event Donation

Yesterday, we made a very special announcement that we had started a Jumpstarter (SA version of Kickstarter) campaign towards funding our Guinness World Record event, where we need to print 1000 paperback copies and have them sold before the record can be verified.

We noticed that no one as yet had started making pledges, but we have received donations directly from those who are supporting the initiative. So far, 6 paperback copies have been catered for, 3 as pre-order and 3 as donations, with a few direct messages indicating that more are coming. Yet, they’d rather not pledge on Jumpstarter.

And now we know why. As wonderful as the Jumpstarter campaign is, we’ve been told that many are unsure how to use the site, and also it would be far easier just to EFT the funds to us directly. So the sponsors are there, but they want another means available to help us reach our goals.

We are therefore setting up a pre-ordering and donation system. We tried at first to use Paypal, but learnt very quickly how unfriendly the Paypal codes are with WordPress, and that it is a headache to set it up. We’ve researched WordPress and many community forums, and it seems everyone is having the same problems.

Have no fear. Here in South Africa we use Payfast. It allows South Africans to EFT payments to us effortlessly and safely, while international sponsors can use their cards to help us out. Don’t worry about the Rand value indicated below; the payment will be converted for you by your location, I believe.

These buttons have been made available on our site’s sidebars on some pages too.

R50: Donate towards the printing for the Guinness World Record Launch Event

R100: Pre-order a digital copy

R250: Pre-order a paperback copy of our Guinness World Record anthology for yourself

R250: Donate a copy to the Guinness World Record Launch Event

R500: Pre-order your own copy and Donate a copy to the Launch Event

We’ve been blessed with donators who want to contribute more than allowed by these buttons. For a special donations or greater amount of pre-order copies, please email shaunmjooste@celenicearth.com for a special payment button or link to meet your needs.

Jumpstarter Campaign launched for Guinness World Record Anthology Pre-Orders and Event Support

As many of you know, Guinness World Records has approved our attempt at a world record breaking attempt at the Most Authors to Contribute to a Short Story Anthology. The current record is 50 writers, but we have 107 and the total is climbing!

Everything is running smoothly and we have 10% of the stories received so far, with the deadline for all submissions set at 31 August 2017. This gives us enough time to publish, establish the paperback and ebook distributions, and prepare for the Anthology launch event that is expected to take place on 30 September 2017!!! Right here in Cape Town, South Africa.

Of course, the Anthology will be sold throughout the world on our normal distribution channels. Our largest challenge is that Guinness expects us to sell 1000 paperback copies before the record can be verified and accepted. This is to ensure that the anthology remains in circulation, and is not just created for the purpose of breaking the record.

We are doing things to help us to achieve this goal. The first is to sell the ebook and paperback as close to cost as possible until we reach our goal and the record is verified. Thereafter the covers and record details will be included in a special Guinness World Record edition of the book, which will be set at standard retail prices.

We have also launched a Jumpstarter campaign, which serves a three-fold purpose. First, it will allow anyone to start pre-ordering the anthology now already, thereby ensuring that they receive one of the launch event copies. Those copies will still be made available at the event for photographic and video evidence, but will be put aside in a pre-order section and will not be available for sale at the event. Any orders placed through the Jumpstarter campaign will list you as an official sponsor, and we will make sure to put your name at the end of the video in the credits, and within the Guinness special edition of the Anthology.

Secondly, it will allow us to start collecting funds towards the printing of the 1000 copies. Each anthology will cost at about R200 to print, which is the least we need per copy to get the show on the road. On the campaign we’ve allowed for more, so that any unforseen surcharges and logistics can also be covered. We don’t want to leave anything to chance!

Lastly, any Pledges towards books to be pre-ordered will count towards the 1000 print sales we need.

You will see on the campaign that we have five reward levels: Initiate, Novice, Master, Hero and Legendary! It is time to choose your destiny.

This is one of the greatest undertakings we’ve done so far! We really hope you will support us in this endeavour and help us to attain this World Record! If you’de like to pre-order or support us, please visit our Jumpstarter campaign here. There is even a nifty video we’ve put together for the event.

Thank you to those of you who will be supporting us!
