International Publishers: Have your books published and sold in South Africa

We have always been proud of the fact that even though we are based in South Africa, we have been able to publish work from writers all over the world, and have them available anywhere in the world.

However, a problem has been identified in the South African market. When South Africans want to order books from online stores such as Amazon, the shipping costs are usually more than the price of the books themselves. If they are lucky enough to find the books in our local bookshops, the prices are so high compared to local writers, that they are dissuaded from purchasing them.

No matter where they order it from, it is just too expensive.

This creates a roll-on effect for the publisher. Not only can their books not succeed in the South African market, but they had to reduce their royalties just to lower the retail price of their books.

And this is where we come in. Being based in South Africa, we are able to offer a publishing arrangement where we assist in bringing your books to South Africa, online and in bookstores, in a way that makes it cheaper for the readers and brings in more royalties for the writers.

We would love to represent you and your books here in South Africa. And in order for us to present this offer to you, we invite you to visit our International Relations page, where we set out our services and where you can complete and submit a query for our consideration.

So if you would like to know more about making your books more available to South Africans, feel free to let us know.

Happy Holidays!!

Yes, it is that time of the year again where we get to unwind and prepare for the next year ahead. It has been quite a year for us, being the first full year we have been in business.

And with that, Christmas is around the corner, and the holiday that so many of us will get to enjoy. We also keep in mind those that still need to work during this time, and many of those that cannot enjoy the holidays due to some difficulty that they are going through.

This brings to mind our charity fundraiser, which we are doing for our local orphanage. We are putting together some books for the orphans, who have a small library, but not enough books for everyone to enjoy. And since we are primarily a book publishing business, we would love to get some literature together for them.

If you would like to know more about this initiative, please click on the link: Holy Cross Orphanage Christmas Book Collection.

We would also like to announce that Celenic Earth Publications is closed for the holidays. You may still see some advertising and promotions, especially with Christmas around the corner, but all Submissions are closed for now. You can still submit for next year on our Submission page, but we will only be attending to those when we reopen on Monday 14 January 2019.

We sincerely hope you all have a fantastic holiday season and remember, we might be closed for business, but the books in our Library are for sale all year round. Our distributors will make sure you still receive our books.

May you have a Happy Christmas, New Year, and any other holiday you may be celebrating!

Celenic Earth Publications Expands its Publishing Wings on Social Media

As promised, Celenic Earth Publications has established itself on various social media platforms, starting with those that directly share blog posts, such as this one, on them. This will help us to effectively and efficiently get the word out as quickly as possible on new projects and releases without having to repeat ourselves a hundred times over.

You may notice that we treat Facebook very differently when it comes to the Anthologies. Where we have separate pages for each anthology series and our new publishing page, all the other accounts only have one account to deal with all announcements. The only other exception is Twitter, where we have one account for anthologies and one account for publishing.

This may seem odd to the casual outsider, but it helps us streamline news that is simply for the anthologies and any other author publishing news we may want to share. It’s a case of keeping everything structured so that those who simply want to follow the horror anthology on facebook may do so, while granting those who want all the CEP news the chance to do so without missing out. It’s all about reaching the right target audience without annoying those who seek a specific demand.

Here are the social media links for Celenic Earth Publications, which will be put on the actual home site at the bottom shortly. If there are any other social media sites you would like to receive news on, please let me know and I will do my best to make it happen.
