Another year comes to an end. This year went by very quickly, and we didn’t get to everything we set out to do. So many things happened it was hard to keep up with it all. When we say we are ready for these December holidays, it is an understatement.

Celenic Earth Publications will be officially closing during the December holiday period from 13 December 2019 to 13 January 2020. This does not mean that work comes to a complete standstill. We will still be making use of the holiday madness to market and sell our books. The online world doesn’t come to an end. As a matter of fact it just increases.

We will also be enlarging our network overseas. This year we have managed to obtain printers in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand who help us to distribute our books in those areas. In South Africa we already have distributors, since this is where we are based. Our latest victory is in China (Hong Kong specifically), where we have just recently established an agreement to have books printed and sold there.

Of course, with our online distributors we can practically send our books anywhere on the planet, but it helps having these connections in those countries.

So, if we’re still technically keep the sales and networking going, what does the downtime mean? Well, we won’t be working on any of our clients’ books, such as editing and publishing. You will still be able to submit requests to be published through our portal, and email us , but chances are low that we will be attending to them until January 2020.

We’ve already started closing down, just tying up loose ends before we close down completely. We’ll be preparing for next year, getting ready for the next anthologies and authors that we will be signing up. We’ll be trying to get a better footprint in the screenwriting arena, while seeing how much more we can get involved with game publishing and writing.

Our gaming news studio, AIR Entertainment, will continue to stream gaming news and reviews as they become available. So make sure you follow that site to be kept up-to-date with the latest.

And so with that, we want to wish you a wonderful holiday period. If any big news breaks out from us, we will be sure to post about it. Here’s looking forward to a better 2020.

Our Online Doors Are Open For Business!!

After a long holiday during June, we are happy to announce that our online doors are again open for business!!

Even though we had our virtual doors closed, it doesn’t mean some work wasn’t happening in the background. Here are some of the things that happened that you may have missed:

In an effort to reach more sales towards having our world record anthology verified by Guinness World Records, who require a certain amount of copies sold for verification, we’ve dropped the ebook price to $1 on Amazon.

This means that you can get all 108 short stories in 1 volume for a ridiculous low price of $1! Nowhere in the world will you ever see such a bargain, considering that this is the world’s largest collection of short stories at the lowest price.

So if you’re keen on supporting us while receiving a massive volume of stories, head on over to Amazon to get your copy today:

For the past few months we’ve been working on our latest science fiction anthology, CEA Into the Beyond Volume 2. Our plan was originally to publish it in June 2019, but due to a lack of interest by writers we have postponed having the publication of this volume. We would prefer having more stories within the book, and thereby better quality for the readers, than issuing a volume with only a few stories.

As far as our other anthologies are concerned, we have received some interest in other genre volumes and will be spending the next month or so working on a story list for them. Keep an eye out on our Anthology page, and if you are interested in submitting a short story for one of them, feel free to complete the form on our submission page.

It’s full steam ahead with Stansfield’s republishing of her fantasy novel, The Nornien Odyssey. Her book will be taking our full attention over the next weeks as we try and bring it to completion as quickly as possible.

We will be keeping you updated with news on our social media channels, so look out for more info in time to come. There are 2 more books in the series to come, and we still have a host of writers ready to be published this year.

Author Shaun M Jooste is still keen on having both his upcoming horror and dark fantasy novels published at the same time. Silent Hill: Obversion follows on from his debut horror novel, Silent Hill: Betrayal, with its own story. There is only a vague link between the two, which will be left up to the readers to discover.

To-date, Silent Hill: Betrayal is our number one bestselling book, with sales coming in every month. Silent Hill: Obversion is our most anticipated release of 2019, which is why we setup a pre-order mechanism for those who are interested in ordering their copy so long. There is also a SHO Newsletter for those who want more insights and sneak peeks into the upcoming release.

Malum: Rise of the Deadly Sins is a dark fantasy novel which is inspired by the Diablo game series. The author wanted to delve into the dark fantasy realm, starting with Rise of the Deadly Sins. He has already written five of the starting chapters and is proceeding at a steady pace to have the novel released at the same time as Silent Hill: Obversion.

If you would like to keep up to speed with these novels, make sure to visit Jooste’s blog and sign up for updates.

Our Training and Development section is open for new training for 2019. AMS is taking in 30 students in their latest training course, which focuses on the development and writing of fiction novels.

If you would like to have a look at the course content and fees, feel free to browse the landing page:

Our screenwriting division, Celenic Filmwriting Studios, is now actively seeking production for Shaun M Jooste’s 2015 science fiction script, The Space Drifter. The script was nominated at the 2015 Cinequest Screenwriting Competition by the judges as having great potential, and was awarded the 2017 Logline of the Year.

Query Letters have been sent to production agencies all over the world and more are being sent out daily. For more information on the script, you can visit the screenwriter’s Stage 32 profile, or the movie portfolio page on his blog.

Even though our Celenic Earth Publications’ page went silent during the holidays, AIR Entertainment did not. This is our gaming news outlet, which forms part of our Celenic Game Studios division.

We’ve had some news being published, but our latest reviews are all the trend right now, including the likes of:

Be sure to visit and follow AIR Entertainment for more upcoming news and game reviews.

We have more news coming to you over the next couple of weeks, so watch this space.

Our Terrifying Tales To Be Narrated By Macabreweb Spider on Youtube

Celenic Earth Publications has some great news! Our horrific and thrilling tales will be brought to verbal life by a Youtube narrator, Alex Blaak, better known for her Youtube channel Macabreweb Spider. Blaak is already known by two of our writers, namely authors Shaun M Jooste and Dean Clark, who work with her for Antreya Studios for the upcoming MMORPG, Antreya Chronicles Online. Blaak is the narrator for one of the upcoming Antreya Chronicles trailers.

Macabreweb Spider channel will be hosting our stories, read by Blaak. This means that some of our best horror, dark fantasy, psychological thriller and tense science fiction from our anthologies will be made available for your hearing pleasure. Also, excerpts of some of the horror novels, such as Silent Hill: Betrayal, will also be read on the channel.

So be prepared to hear some of our stories on the Macabreweb Spider channel. Feel free to click on the image below to visit the channel, and please subscribe to make sure you don’t miss a single tale. Celenic Earth Publications Goes Crypto With New Crypto Currency Market Listings

It has always been a big dream of ours here at Celenic Earth Publications to sell our products for cryptocurrency. Until now, all we have had to offer were Bitcoin and Etherium wallet addresses privately to clients who wanted to buy our books with crypto coins, and on our Steemit interface.

But a new dawn is upon us! We have attained two agreements to have our products sold on their cryprocurrency platforms! This means that we can sell our books at a standard rate, with the cryptocurrency of choice being adjusted automatically to match the market prices of the coins.

The two crypto markets that we now sell on are Bitify and Forra. For Forra you would need to search the Forra Listings for the books, while Bitify you can simply click on our publishing name to see all our products.

We have made it easier for you. When you click on our Library of books, and select one of our selected books, you will see two new links at the bottom of the page. If you click on either the Bitify or Forra link, it will take you directly to our listings where you can buy our books with one of the cryptos listed.

Please note that we have only listed EBOOKS for now. Both accounts deal with Escrow time periods. This means that they pay for the products, it is held in Escrow until they receive it, and then they approve the payment. Since CEP is a print-on-demand publisher, where we require the funds upfront to pay for printing and shipping, we unfortunately cannot at this time list paperbacks until we find a better mechanism for them to be purchased by crypto.

We do sell it directly for crypto though, through our cryptocurrency wallets as direct payments, but we are still working out the fine details of having them listed on our site for the paperback crypto purchases to be made.

Until then, enjoy our new listings on the crypto currency platforms!!

International Publishers: Have your books published and sold in South Africa

We have always been proud of the fact that even though we are based in South Africa, we have been able to publish work from writers all over the world, and have them available anywhere in the world.

However, a problem has been identified in the South African market. When South Africans want to order books from online stores such as Amazon, the shipping costs are usually more than the price of the books themselves. If they are lucky enough to find the books in our local bookshops, the prices are so high compared to local writers, that they are dissuaded from purchasing them.

No matter where they order it from, it is just too expensive.

This creates a roll-on effect for the publisher. Not only can their books not succeed in the South African market, but they had to reduce their royalties just to lower the retail price of their books.

And this is where we come in. Being based in South Africa, we are able to offer a publishing arrangement where we assist in bringing your books to South Africa, online and in bookstores, in a way that makes it cheaper for the readers and brings in more royalties for the writers.

We would love to represent you and your books here in South Africa. And in order for us to present this offer to you, we invite you to visit our International Relations page, where we set out our services and where you can complete and submit a query for our consideration.

So if you would like to know more about making your books more available to South Africans, feel free to let us know.

Forthcoming Literary Attractions by Celenic Book Publishers

We are in the second month of 2019 already. Another month flies by and the year is moving on swiftly.

And a great way to move with the year is to announce the books we have signed up for publication for the coming months ahead. It is an exciting year for us, as we have a really promising collection from both new writers and old.

We’ve been working with these writers for some time now to get their books ready for this year. And we are proud to showcase them to you so you may be filled with the same eagerness as we are.

So here they are, our upcoming publications of 2019 and 2020 so far:

Debbie Stansfield- The Oracle Runes: Nornien Odyssey

Nornien Odyssey, Book 1 in the fantasy series The Oracle Runes, was first published in 2010. Due to bad faith in the publisher, and the publishing company now being defunct, writer Debbie Stansfield has turned to Celenic Earth Publications to have the work republished.

This first volume is near completion with regards to new editing and formatting to fit CEP publishing standards, but in the meantime here is the short synopsis of the fantasy novel:

Alexandra had never thought that she would have to finish a battle her parents had started more than ten years ago. But now the battle for the earth has erupted once again and she will need all the help she can get. From mere mortals turning into centaurs to an unexpected visit from a handsome wolfane, it is sure to keep Alexandra on her toes. She will have to rely on her family’s old friends the fairies to help her fight the battle, and when the Mermalani twins join she is sure that they at least have some chance of winning.

But are both twins on the side of good, or is one unconsciously fighting for the side of evil? This sends Alex on a journey where she discovers long dormant secrets and a family history she never thought possible. Can the mysterious Nornien stone, of the three fairy sisters of faith help the side of good during the war, or is it just some useless legend created by the elders to entertain children? Can she use her instincts in trusting the trolls whom have shown up unexpectedly, claiming not to be the ones responsible for the deaths of magical creatures? And when the centaurs show up after years of banishment, surprising even the fairy queen, she knows that their troubles have only started…

Kenny Bersgma – Fresh Observations

Kenny Bergsma has been writing for most of his senior life… he just never took the step to have any of it published. When we met him last year, we helped him publish his first drama novel inspired by real events, “Flats Justice“.

This year we are focusing on one of his inspirational books. Kenny likes to philosophise and spend time with God, talking about everything, from love to hardships, and has spent time writing all his notes in this inspirational volume. He hopes that some of his thoughts will get others to think with more of an open mind, when “Fresh Observations” is published.

Angelique Pacheco

Angelique has been writing for us for several anthologies now, but bringing her own work to publications has been in the works for some time now. We have three titles coming up from her, hopefully all this year, and they are all Christian-based books.

The first is Jungle Bible, which is a book of stories for children from the bible. There will also be an adult devotional book, and a children devotional book that we are really excited to be working on. There will be illustrations in the book, but we are sure that Christian children everywhere will love having these books by their beds.

Pragashnie Naidoo – Little Specks of Dust

Little Specks of Dust presents a drama that looks into the lives of an indian girl and those around her. Especially protective of her brother and the secret held between them, other secrets start to reveal themselves as everything begins to close in on her.

Pragashnie brings a riveting tale about family, culture and secrets that can tear people apart. It is bound to touch the hearts of many, and we look forward to working with her on her book.

Liam Scullard – Anthony and Me

Anthony and Me is a family orientated story about building a family from a start that most would think to be strange. All Jason wants to feel is love and happiness. When he meets Anthony, they take on the world gathering their family as they take their steps toward the future. As the family grows it becomes apparent that the brothers become one despite the challenges that try force them apart. The journey takes them to a place beyond their wildest dreams enriching their lives with love unity trust and happiness.

This is Liam’s first working title, and with it he brings such strong compassion between Anthony and Jason, that you will be compelled to read through every chapter to see their fire grow.

Shaun M Jooste

After the successful release of his debut horror novel, Silent Hill: Betrayal, author Shaun M Jooste is getting ready to release the second in his Silent Hill series, Silent Hill: Obversion. Fans of his first book have already signed up to the Silent Hill: Obversion Newsletter for insights as to what to expect from the upcoming horror novel.

Cassandra Sanders wakes up tied down to a gurney in the psychiatric ward of a dark and broken hospital. After barely escaping from demented doctors and other horrific horrors, she breaks out of the hospital and finds herself in the tormented and haunted town of Silent Hill.

While searching the streets and buildings for clues as to what is happening to the town, she discovers links to her past that have troubled her for most of her life. Signs of her family start appearing, and something sinister in the crippled creatures that hunt her calls out to her. Was Cassey somehow responsible for some of the things that had happened in Silent Hill? Was she indirectly responsible for the massacre that happened so long ago?

And in her reflections, captured in the fog of Silent Hill, she sees the face of someone she once loved, someone so close to her, who had been taken from her by her own father. And she can hear the cold axe ringing through the streets, on the chill of the air, coming for her life, the one who got away that fateful night….

Along with his second horror novel, Shaun is also busy with his upcoming dark fantasy novel, Malum: Rise of the Deadly Sins. Both Silent Hill: Obversion and Malum will be released at the same time this year.

Inspired by Blizzard’s dark fantasy game series, Diablo, comes a dark fantasy novel filled with magic and darkness. In a small town of K’vornash, the villagers are starting to act strangely. Once polite people with only slight hints of ambition, the villagers begin exhibiting behaviour completely against their nature. Once chaste men give into their lustful desires, honest women begin stealing in the dead of the night, and dead clergy are found strewn around the holy cathedral.

Rumours spread in the surrounding towns of these happenings and several warriors, mages and mystical fighters arrive at the town to discover the cause of this dark turn. At first, nothing gives sign as to what has occurred until whispers reach them of horrific creatures rising in the depths of Kor’nosh Mine.

The heroes delve into the darkness, battling every foe they come across. Yet, the more they fight, the stronger the demons become. The mines hold a deeper secret than the minions that fill the vast passages in the mountain, one that threatens the lives of every human on the planet. And it becomes clear that some among them are aligned with the darkness.

More Titles to Come

We are busy negotiation more titles that might become available this year, as well a the list of anthologies that we plan to publish. One of the titles includes the sequel to Heroes of Antreya: The Journey Begins, but more details on that another time.

If you would like to contact us with regards to being published, feel free to contact us on our Submission page.

CEA Local 1.jpg

Every year during November, writers around the world take part in the National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. They attempt to write 50,000 words towards completing a novel. In April and July, however, there is a Camp NaNoWriMo, where writers can either edit their novels or practice writing other projects.

During one of these camps, some Wrimos in the Western Cape NaNo group put some short stories together for publication in this volume. It spans several genres, and even features writers in the group that are from overseas, with some scintillating tales.

Happy Holidays!!

Yes, it is that time of the year again where we get to unwind and prepare for the next year ahead. It has been quite a year for us, being the first full year we have been in business.

And with that, Christmas is around the corner, and the holiday that so many of us will get to enjoy. We also keep in mind those that still need to work during this time, and many of those that cannot enjoy the holidays due to some difficulty that they are going through.

This brings to mind our charity fundraiser, which we are doing for our local orphanage. We are putting together some books for the orphans, who have a small library, but not enough books for everyone to enjoy. And since we are primarily a book publishing business, we would love to get some literature together for them.

If you would like to know more about this initiative, please click on the link: Holy Cross Orphanage Christmas Book Collection.

We would also like to announce that Celenic Earth Publications is closed for the holidays. You may still see some advertising and promotions, especially with Christmas around the corner, but all Submissions are closed for now. You can still submit for next year on our Submission page, but we will only be attending to those when we reopen on Monday 14 January 2019.

We sincerely hope you all have a fantastic holiday season and remember, we might be closed for business, but the books in our Library are for sale all year round. Our distributors will make sure you still receive our books.

May you have a Happy Christmas, New Year, and any other holiday you may be celebrating!
