And it is finally happening! After the official launch of our world record anthology on 14 October 2017, CEA Greatest Anthology Written is finally having its official Guinness World Record event on 17 March 2018 at the Parow Library. The event will take place between 10am and 12:30pm in the yard of the Library.
The event will be photographed and filmed, and local writers who are available will be there to sign your copies. We have come a long way since August 2017 when we gathered all the writers and then broke the world record of 50 writers with our 108 writers! That’s right, there are 108 short stories for you to enjoy, divided into the various genres for you to choose from.
During the recent Preditors & Editors Awards, CEA Greatest Anthology Written and some of its writers received various awards, as follows:
- The Anthology itself received 3rd place in the Best Anthology of 2017;
- Cynthia Booth, “One Date is Danger” – 1st Place in Best Romance Short Story;
- Roy C Booth, “The Quartermaster’s Dinner” – 2nd Place in Best Scifi / Fantasy Short Story;
- Travis Ludvigson, “Tondo” – 9th Place in Best Scifi / Fantasy Short Story.
We are very honoured to receive these awards and so proud to have all these writers featured in our anthology.
